Dr. Steven D. Gelbard

Steven D. Gelbard, M.D. is a physician, neurological surgeon, medical innovator, and regenerative-medicine specialist with more than three decades of experience caring for patients and developing advanced approaches to neurological, musculoskeletal, restorative, and longevity medicine.

Dr. Gelbard earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston and completed his surgical internship at New York University. His postgraduate education included the University of Vermont Neurosurgical Program, additional neurosurgical and neurological training through Brown University-affiliated programs, and further advanced training through Harvard University-affiliated programs. His clinical background encompasses surgery of the brain and spine, spinal reconstruction, microsurgery, neurological trauma, complex pain conditions, and advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Gelbard’s interests expanded beyond conventional surgery toward the emerging science of regenerative and restorative medicine. He has developed substantial clinical experience with stem-cell-based therapies, exosomes and extracellular vesicles, peptides, biologics, anti-aging and longevity medicine, brain health, and wellness optimization. His approach combines more than three decades of medical and surgical experience with evolving advances in neuroscience, cellular biology, regenerative medicine, and human-performance medicine.

Dr. Gelbard has maintained a longstanding interest in medical innovation and the advancement of surgical techniques. He has been awarded multiple United States patents involving spinal stabilization and surgical technology and has authored scientific work published in medical literature, including the Journal of Neurosurgery. During his career, he has treated professional athletes from the NFL, NHL, and ABA, and his surgical work and techniques have been featured in national and regional media.

Throughout his career, Dr. Gelbard has founded and directed multidisciplinary medical practices and surgical programs, bringing together physicians and specialists across multiple areas of medicine.

Dr. Gelbard later served in a leadership role in the redevelopment of the former Miami Institute at the Four Seasons Hotel Miami as ReLife Miami Institute, where the medical program integrated regenerative medicine and stem-cell therapies with neurological, orthopedic, pain-management, wellness, cosmetic, and anti-aging services.

Today, through ReLife Regenerative Institute, Dr. Gelbard focuses on bringing together decades of experience in neurosurgery and neurological medicine with the rapidly developing fields of regenerative medicine, cellular therapies, exosomes, peptides, longevity medicine, and advanced biologics.
